Boy problems!!?

I can't believe what I heard my crush say. He said it was annoying that I am obbsessed with dogs. I tought I really liked him, I mean he was nice and funny, but now I hate him, and all my friends are upset becuase they think that me and him would make a good couple. I dont want to hate him, but I think that is extremly rude to say that, he hates me, but i don't want him to, what should I do?
