Is birth control essentially abortion?

birth control does not immediately cause an abortion... if its continued for a month or so (sometimes weeks) while the female is pregnant, then it causes an abortion. i think what you read was more about the plan b pill....that if taken right away does not exactly cause an abortion (since it stops anything from happening) but if taken once the life is created, then it causes a abortion because the plan b pill made it so that the uterus is incapable of having an egg implant by itself.
