Do You Think The Craigslist Killer Was a Bad Guy?

I was just watching the craigslist killer on life time. the first time i had seen it. and i thought it was a very sad story.obviously the stuff he did was terrible, but i couldn't help but feel kinda bad in the end for him. he had reasons for why he did every thing he did, and i don't think he meant for things to turn out as badly as they did. is this weird that i feel this way, or is this normal, did the movie portray him to make you feel bad. cuz i felt like crying at the end. i am that kind of person tho, i don 't judge people so harshly, and quickly, i look at every thing they went through and their reasons and motives for doing what they did. i don't condemn people so quickly. what do you think?
