Getting a better deal on t mobile?

ok so im coming to the end of my conract and can have an uprgade of phone yippee only thing is the offers there offering are truly pathetic i can have either Nokia 7373 or a Nokia 3109 for free and thats it all the others are like 200 quid is there any way to get a better deal ? and i want to go on pay as u go when this contract has run out
